Customer Rating: Summary: Amazon's Marshall Fine's Review is STUPID~ Comment: I was lucky enough to find this BRAND NEW DVD. I have been a performer/singer since 1965. I saw TYA steal Muddy Waters' show. After seeing 100s of concerts, Alvin is solidly set in the top five guitar players EVER!
If you get a chance to see him live, (by keeping up on every release, he continues to excel) see him, so you can tell Amazon's Marshall Fine that he is a fool.
Customer Rating: Summary: Alvin Lee - Still one of the Best Comment: Not much you can say about the quality of this DVD other than it's average at best however the quality of Alvin's playing is indeed something to behold. Don't pay any attention to the official review. It's obvious he doesn't know what a good guitarist sounds like. Alvin Lee jams on every song as if it were his last and there's no doubt he's getting better with age. "Help Me" was a highlight for me with it being an excellent example of the Blues at it's finest. I showed this DVD to my 17 year old nephew and he was in awe. As I always tell young music fans, listen to Alvin Lee and then you'll really know what rock and roll is all about.
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant guitarist, okay DVD Comment: I think amazon.com needs to find a new home for Marshall Fine because he certainly doesn't understand great musicianship.(Actually, he understands less than that - this was not filmed at a club in Germany, it was filmed at a German TV studio.) Alvin Lee and Ten Years After were hardly a monotonous heavy blues band. They were an innovative jazz/rock/blues band with one of the best guitarists playing then - and playing now. Proof of that merely needs to be in the number and quality of guitarists playing today who cite Lee as one of their inspirations. This 1978 concert was as high- energy and musically satisfying as fans of this guitarist have come to expect. That said, there is one thing wrong with this DVD -and only one thing - the quality is lousy. So lousy that Mr. Lee is said to have NOT given permission for its release.
Customer Rating: Summary: Alvin Lee's Ten Years Later - Rockpalast Live DVD Comment: This Is so Great! Alvin & Co Shred from start to Finish! Do not Hesitate Just Buy It, you'll Agree. I wouldve Rated it a 5 But if a show from 69 or 70 ever becomes available and is Professionaly done Im certian I'd give that a 5 cause TYA Smoked then.

Customer Rating: Summary: Great band! Comment: What an amazing band. One of the best ever. I wanna say that I am ONCE AGAIN (this is like the 80th time) SHOCKED AND ANNOYED by the amazing incompetence shown by Amazon.com's official reviews. Why do they pay pathetic idiotic slobs to write reviews for them? Sheesh.
