Customer Rating: Summary: Glory in a DVD case Comment: This product is worth every penny, no question. I'm a freshman in college, but watching Space Jam with a bunch of friends made me even happier than it did when I first saw it as a kid. If this movie played any kind of role in your childhood, just buy it and watch it again. You'll feel great.
Customer Rating: Summary: great movie Comment: This is a great movie.... Classic with the looney tunes and Michael Jordan and Bill Murray...
Customer Rating: Summary: Space Jam Comment: I purchased this DVD for my son's 15th birthday, he had not seen the movie since he was about 8 or 9 when the last video copy of this movie died. When he used to watch it he would play along with a nurf basketball and hoop. As he watched it this time he didn't play basketball, but said that he didn't remember it being so funny. He has watched it a few times since he got it mostly when his friends are over.
It's a classic and the whole family have enjoyed watching is again. It's a must have for basketball fans.
My son is and was a HUGH Micheal Jordon fan and LOVES basketball, it's he's favorite sport.
Customer Rating: Summary: Believe It Or Not, An Absolute Classic. Comment: Space Jam as a movie has always held a special place in my heart. Being 12 years old as of this review, I have to say this movie has aged really well. Starring a real comic legend in Bill Murray and an acting great, Danny DeVito doing a voice over; this movie was destined to succeed. The real surprise for everyone was the performance of Michael Jordan. Although not exactly Sidney Poitier he did his job of being the face of this movie and when you make a movie with basketball as the main focus, you couldn't not have Michael Jordan.
The story goes that aliens from a theme park world named Moron Mountain, need a new attraction. Whilst throwing around ideas the evil boss, Mr. Swackhammer decides that he must get the Looney Tunes. He sends his cronies to Looney Tune land and get the Looney Tunes; whether they want to or not. The tunes not willing to go quietly challenge the aliens to a game of basketball in which, if they lose they have to work at Moron Mountain. Forever. Before the game, the alien team become known as the Monstars and they steal the basketball abilities of some of the greatest players in the NBA. The Looney Tunes know that the only way they can win this game is to kidnap Michael Jordan and have him play on their side.
This is a genuinely fun movie that is good to entertain the whole family. The effects aren't groundbreaking, but to see the Looney Tunes in a new adventure gives us some great nostalgia. Like I said, Michael Jordan isn't made to be an actor and it's shown in this movie. If you're one to go into every movie and criticise acting ability then I would suggest you leave your brain at the door for this one. An overall great movie that all the family can enjoy.
Customer Rating: Summary: ANSWER THE QUESTION Comment: Why didn't they animate Michael Jordon? He's a block of wood.
Thank you.
Overall, I liked the movie, but the basketball star of the film was what dragged it down. A lot of people wanted this to be a big summer block buster, but it was dragged down by a man who thought he could do everything.
Too bad.

Swackhammer, owner of the amusement park planet Moron Mountain is desperate get new attractions and he decides that the Looney Tune characters would be perfect. He sends his diminutive underlings to get them to him, whether Bugs Bunny & Co. want to go or not. Well armed for their size, Bugs Bunny is forced to trick them into agreeing to a competition to determine their freedom. Taking advantage of their puny and stubby legged foes, the gang selects basketball for the surest chance of winning. However, the Nerdlucks turn the tables and steal the talents of leading professional basketball stars to become massive basketball bruisers known as the Monstars. In desperation, Bugs Bunny calls on the aid of Michael Jordan, the Babe Ruth of Basketball, to help them have a chance at winning their freedom.
