Customer Rating: Summary: Funny Comment: This is Richard Pryors funniest stand up by far! The problem is the DVD sound was delayed with the running film picture. Still-its his funniest ever.
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent Comment: i was very pleased with the product and the timeliness in which I received it.
Customer Rating: Summary: DVD Comment: The video was given as a gift. He loves the video and watches endlessly laughing throughout the whole video. I did not recieve half the things I ordered, and I almost did not recieve the video. The website was difficult to navigate and many of the links did not take you where you needed to go.
Customer Rating: Summary: Trust the REVIEWS LOL thinking about it!! HILARIOUS Comment: PRYOR...one of a kind,my mom had this but after watching it,I kept it for myself,I went out and bought my own dvd,I lended it out,I never got it back, don't lend it out, cause once it's watched you won't get it back...my favorite stand up EVER,the GREATEST who inspired Eddie Murphy and many others!
Customer Rating: Summary: The Mecca of Stand-up comedy Comment: It does not get any better than this, Pryor is in his element and his story telling is as raucous as ever. The problem is the generation of standups who learned from him, but started to cuss just for the sake of it.
Profanities when used by Pryor becomes almost silly and funny in its very connotation, unlike the ppl who try to replicate it. There can only be one true comedy king ( yes, as opposed to the false one) and that is King Richard Pryor, Rest-in-Peace, my friend.
Great Record and the ultimate tonic for depressed people world over.
--Five stars no less. Primo stuff.--

Crude. Foul. Real. In a word, that?s Richard Pryor: Live in Concert. In this, the funnyman?s first and best concert film, Pryor does dead-on impersonations of the respective races, cussing, trying to act tough, getting kicked in privates. But it's his imagination that elevates him to a different level and hints at the comedic genius of the man. He gives his impressions of what animals think, from his own animals (a monkey, a Doberman) to police dogs, and it seems so exact, so precise. Not to mention the fact that he is at his self-deprecating best, skewering himself as much as any other subject.
